Da Shou or Striking Hands Part 4FUN AND LAUGHTER IN SHAOLIN WAHNAM TRAINING
Fun and laughter is a common feature in Shaolin Wahnam training. Even a matter-of-fact answer by Sifu Wong to Joko’s legitimate question brings a peal of laughter from the course participants. It shows how relaxed and pleasant they are even while undergoing martial art training. Joko asks how does one move his body forward to bridge a gap while attacking. Sifu Wong answers matter-of-factly that one moves his body forward by moving his body forward. He then uses this opportunity to illustrate an important aspect of “shen-fa” or body-movement in Taijiquan.
