What You Learn in the Intensive Shaolin Kungfu Course – Part 4
UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF ATTACK AND DEFENCE
Before attending the Intensive Shaolin Kungfu Course, many participants cannot use kungfu patterns to spar effectively. But they can do so with just a few days of intensive and systematic training. One important reason, amongst others, for their rapid progress is that Sifu Wong explains to them how to make good use of combat principles. For example, instead of learning a counter for each and every attack, they learn the underlying principles of attack and defence, so that by applying the same basic principles but varying the responses to suit different situations, they can counter all attacks. This video clip shows one of these lessons.
